MORE FUN BOWLS .....
A fun game from Stan Farmer via Alan B.
This part of a series of games suited to our indoor 2 rink facility.Turnout for club nights varies from 6 to 24 bowlers so we need a flexible format.
Stan describes here the game suited to up to 10 bowlers.
1. Up to 10 bowlers, everyone bowls on both greens and plays for there own score.
- Have 2 bowls on each green
- roll 2 jacks on each green - do not centre the jacks !
- give 1 point to each of the closest 5 ( or 6) to each jack - some bowls may be scoring on both jacks!
-score 2 points on all touchers
-give 2 points to everyone else if you kill one of the jacks.
- score 10 points if you hit both jacks with one bowl!
All players are listed on our 2 scoreboards and we control the "order of play " by staggering the 2 lists i.e. Rink 1 lists lists 1 to 10, Rink 2 lists the players but starting at #6.
You always follow the same player when bowling.At the close of play, usually about 2 hrs, scores on the 2 greens are addedd together.
All bowlers in the top half double their money. We pay $1 each to enter , and therefore can win $2.
Stan gives further instruction for how to accommodate up to 24 players,however I'm entering this "on-line" and using up my time .
