BUYING A FIRST SET OF BOWLS .....
I am a new bowler from New Zealand and have started with a set of borrowed bowls, Henselite Supergrip, size 3 heavy. These bowls require a me to take a large amount of green on our fast smooth greens.I have been offered a set of Henselite Maestro Deluxe Size 4 Extra Heavy . Perhaps in a year or two I may buy new Classic 2's but does anyone know if Maestro Deluxe would take more or less green than the Supergrips. I have large hands so size is not a problem. Hope someone out there can help.

The Maestro - will give you a narrow line as compared to the Henselite
Classic - it was oriinally touted as the skips bowl. When it hits the jack it stays very nicely with it. I think you will like the Maestro on your fast greens - much easier to control under such circumstances then the Classic Deluxe.

If you play in New Zealand why don't you buy the new Henselite ABT 2000's. They are a narrow biased bowl and I think they would suit any green in New Zealand perfectly. Try the Henselite website at www.henselite.com.au This should supply all the information you need on the different Henselite bowls. I play in England and I think you might find that the Classic 2 will hook too much at the end of its "track". Hope my info will suit you well.
