CRITERIA FOR SELECTORS IN LAWN BOWLS .....
Hi from Sydney, Australia.
I am a new bowler - celebrate my first year at the end of September. Our club AGM is coming up very soon and I would like to know (only for information) what is the qualifying criteria for a Selector? I have been to many web-sites but none spell out how much experience etc a potential selector must have. Is there anyone out there who could help?
Hoping to hear soon

The patience of job
The skin of a rhinossorus
The ability to diplomatically tell people to go to hell so they enjoy doing it.
Not being scared to upset the old skip who his passed his sell by date but cannot recognise it himself.
The honesty to know when you should not select yourself!

I have written some notes on how to improve selection - and covered some aspects of what to consider when appointing Selectors. If you would like a copy of my notes please send me your email address and I shall send you a copy.

Be rubbish at playing and you will either become a selector or a umpire.
