BIOS AND CMOS .....
We are a computer class who is trying to the computer to recognize the keyboard. Do we need to go to Bios or Cmos and is there a way to it without a keyboard. Thank you for your time and information.

Sounds like a Catch-22 situation. You can't access the BIOS without the keyboard - generally you hit a key like F1 or delete while the computer is performing its initial checks. The computer should recognise any keyboard that is plugged into the back. Make sure though that you plug it into the keyboard socket at the back, the mouse socket is identical for modern computers. If the keyboard still doesn't work then either it's faulty or your computer is defective.
