Tony,
Great to hear from you. The distances make the "load time" and if you have lots of .gif or .jpeg pictures it make it real slow. Your friend down under .....John Meksa

Hi Tony !
lawnbowls.com uses an extremely fast server, however, there are several reasons why you might experience slow response even from a fast server - here are some of them ..
*You have a bad connection - try logging off and then logging back on.
*You may have a slow modem
*You may need to reboot your own computer if it has been running for any length of time.
*Some times of day are extremely busy - our server is in the USA - avoid their peek times and if possible, your own access provider's peak times. Occasionally the server undergoes routine maintenance. If you have a problem, which you know is specifically with the lawnbowls.com site, try again after a hour or two.
*As John says, slow graphics can be a problem. We do not have a lot of graphics on the lawnbowls.com site, but we do watch out for this and those we have should download fairly quickly and our pages do not wait for the graphics (ie. mostly the page loads first and then 'fills in' the graphics afterwards, so you can scroll down and read the page without waiting for the graphics); however we cannot control the graphics on linked sites operated by other people.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Lesley (Manager of lawnbowls.com)
By the way, there are quite a lot of bowlers putting together sites now.
Take a look at the links list on our 'About Bowls' page
