DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF SAND GREENS .....
The membership at our club has reached the point that we will soon be needing a second green. We would like to put together some specifications and design drawings for the new green. Unfortunately the original drawings and specs for the sand based green we're using have been lost. Can anyone supply us or advise us where we might find current information on the design and construction of greens. We are located in the lower mainland of British Columbia.

I'm not sure whether this is precisely what you had in mind, but the United States Golf Association (USGA) spec's for sand (putting) greens are on-line at the USGA's home site. The URL "http//www.usga.org/green/putt/puttcons.html" will get you the 1993 revision of the specs. You might be interested in the Guelph Turfgrass Institute's home site (maintained by yours truly - "http//www.uoguelph.ca/GTI") where we try to keep up to date on all aspects of turfgrass management for sports, landscape, sod production, etc. This includes rootzone design and construction.
