“Each of our Appointed Directors have been able to make significant contributions to the development of our sport and I would expect Lydia will do exactly that,” he said.
“She is joining the Board at an exciting time in our history and we look forward to her input.”
Dowse said that she was looking forward to the opportunity and was confident she could make a lasting contribution to the growth of one of Australia’s most participated sports.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Board in contributing to the growth and prosperity of bowls in Australia,” she said.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be involved in a successful sport played and loved by so many Australians.”
Dowse will serve her first term on the board until this year’s AGM in October.
