The National Rankings have been released for the month of February and whilst our current Australian stars are topping the list, it’s our former Australian representatives making the biggest move in the race to be crowned Australian Bowler of the Year.
Australian Open Singles Champion Aron Sherriff sits 89.2 points ahead of Tasmania’s Lee Schraner who continues to claim victories on the Apple Isle.
With no women’s ranking events taking place in February Australian Jackaroo Carla Krizanic holds onto top spot for another month ahead of Raymond Terraces Natasha Scott closely following.
Fellow Victorian Matt Flapper, a former Australian Representative is the big mover in the Men’s rankings, jumping from 13th to 3rd after skipping his rink to victory in the Ocean Grove R.T. Edgar Classic Fours.
Western Australian Shane Knott moves over the 100 point barrier to 108.4 points after winning the Double View Master Pairs with Cody Packer.
However, former Australian Representative and Crown Perth Suns star Pieter Harris retains the top WA spot courtesy of his semi-final points in the same event taking him to 126.2.
March and April will be busy months with plenty of ranking events on offer and a host of State Championships kicking off around the country.
With just 88 days until the Australian Open, now is a great time to start building your rankings points ahead of the final event on the 2016-17 rankings calendar year.
