A few months on after Dylan Skinner became the youngest bowl coordinator in Australia, the youngster has gone from strength to strength at the Dapto Citizens Bowling Club.
It’s been a mammoth task for the 19-year-old to manage the club which boasts just under 400 members, but Skinner has taken it all in his stride.
The youngster has been recruiting players, growing participation and preparing to host the famous Zone 16 South Pacific Carnival this Christmas.
Dapto Citizens are one of the leaders in their local area at staging shorter format games and tournaments.
Six times a year, the club puts up $1000 as prize money in their Quick Fire Twilight pairs, held under lights with multiple games of six and three bowl pairs.
With Skinner driving the bowls side of the club and Maltese Commonwealth games star Shaun Parnis in his role as CEO of Dapto Citizens, the future looks bright at the suburban Illawarra club.
