Club Information

Dunvant is a small village on the Eastern edge of the Gower Peninsula some 5 miles to the west of Swansea.

The bowls club was formed in 1924 and, apart from the war years have played in the Swansea Bowling Association ever since.

The green itself is situated in Dunvant Park, a large open space which provides sport for footballers & cricketers as well as an extensive play ground for children.

The membership comprises of gentlemen from all walks of life.

Many have connections with the Dunvant Male Choir & at one time some years ago the whole team were members of the choir and it was often normal practise to rush straight from a match in whites to a concert in the locality.

The vast majority of the members are now retired & live locally.

The Dunvant Bowls Club is affiliated to the West Glamorgan & Welsh Bowling Associations.
