Club Information

Founded in 1946, Higham Ferrers Town Bowls Club began as a post-WWII community effort to provide a social and sporting outlet for local residents.

The club’s original green, located in the heart of Higham Ferrers, became a central spot for both competitive play and social gatherings.

Over the years, the club grew as more members joined, and facilities expanded.

By the 1960s, the men’s and ladies’ teams had established themselves at the County and National levels, and in the 1980s, the clubhouse and green were renovated, further solidifying the club’s role in the community.

Today, as we celebrate our 80th anniversary in 2026, Higham Ferrers Town Bowls Club remains a central fixture in the town, offering a welcoming environment for both new and experienced bowlers.

Our teams continue to succeed at the County and National Championship levels, while our
members enjoy friendly competitions, roll-ups, and a strong social scene.

We’re excited to commemorate 80 years of bowling tradition with special events and competitions, celebrating the friendships and community spirit that have made our club what it is today.

Looking Forward

As we move into the future, we remain committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels.

Whether you’re new to the sport or an experienced player, there’s always a place for you at Higham Ferrers Town Bowls Club, located in the heart of our town.
