Alton Social Bowling Club plays at Chawton Park Road. Formed by local brewery employees in the 1950s, it moved to its current six-rink outdoor green in 2016. The club welcomes new players and offers coaching, friendly matches and league bowls. Its green and clubhouse are separate from the neighbouring Chawton Park Indoor Bowls Club.
