Bridport Bowling Club was inaugurated in 1923 and has played at its Priory Lane green since 1930. The outdoor grass green accommodates up to eight rinks. Members play league, club and friendly matches, while visiting teams are welcome. A coaching team helps new bowlers, and winter short-mat bowls takes place in the clubhouse. The clubhouse has a bar and full kitchen. During summer the club is generally open daily from 10am to 7pm; informal sessions are held Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings. The green is reached on foot from Priory Lane, with parking available at Bridport Football Ground.
