Carlton Bowling Club

Carlton Bowling Club plays crown green bowls in Carlton Park, off Church Street in Barnsley. The club offers both competitive bowling and a social way to enjoy the game outdoors. Its teams take part in local leagues, including the Barnsley Monday doubles competition. Social sessions welcome people with different levels of experience, and bowls can be provided for newcomers who need them. Flat shoes or trainers are suitable for these introductory activities. The outdoor programme pauses over winter, so contact the club to check the next session, booking arrangements and opportunities to join.
