Crows Nest Bowls Club

Whether you’re an old hand at the game or someone who’s never picked up a bowl before in their life – you’re absolutely welcome at the Crows Nest Bowls Club.

We can provide games for all levels of skill.  Our Club Championships are always eagerly contested by the more proficient players, and our Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday social afternoons are as relaxed or as lively as you like.

Our green is natural grass and is generally available all year round for competition and social play.  We do however close the green for a few brief weeks at Christmas to carry out our annual maintenance and rejuvenation programme.

To get you started we’ll provide you with a set of bowls, then all that you’ll need other than that is a pair of flat soled shoes.  We can assist you with some free coaching classes by one of our volunteer bowls coaches.  Although this isn’t compulsory like it may be at other clubs, it’s a good idea to take advantage of this assistance at the beginning of your new sport.

We’re a small bowls club compared to those in the big smoke, but we pride ourselves on old fashioned country hospitality and a warm welcome each time you turn up for a game.
