About the Club

Forest Hall Bowling Club welcomes the local community to outdoor bowls in Springfield Park. Founded in 1922, the club has used the park's green and pavilion since 1964 and is a registered charity affiliated to Bowls England and Bowls Northumberland. People of different ages and abilities are welcome, including those trying bowls for the first time. Beginners can use equipment free of charge and receive free instruction from qualified coaches. Members take part in league, county and club competitions, while clubhouse gatherings and quiz evenings offer opportunities to meet away from the green. The outdoor green normally closes for winter, so contact the club to confirm the next playing season, coaching arrangements and membership opportunities.
