About the Club

Gosforth Garden Village Bowls Club plays on Rosewood Avenue in Newcastle upon Tyne. Established in 1928 alongside the original community pavilion, the club combines social bowls with regional afternoon and evening leagues, friendly matches and internal competitions. Its outdoor season runs from late April to mid-September. Players of any age are welcome, whether they are experienced bowlers or trying the sport for the first time. The club can provide the necessary kit, including bowls, and qualified coaching can be arranged for newcomers. Club social events offer another way to meet fellow members. Contact the club for details of open days, taster sessions and current membership arrangements.
