Kilmore Bowls Club is located at the corner of Sydney Street and Bourke Street, Kilmore, beside Hudson Park.
The Club was founded in September, 1919, but did not function effectively until it was reorganised in June, 1922, and play began again with the opening match played on the green on 23 December, 1922. The Club had a comfortable pavilion, and the green had electric lights installed.
The Club remained with the Central Bowls Division until the restructure of boundaries in 2021. The Ballarat Highlands Bowls Region (BHBR) was then formed, combining clubs from communities in the Ballarat and Central Highlands Region. The Region is comprised of 34 clubs participating in Pennant, and Regional championships. Kilmore Bowls Club and Broadford Bowls Club, formerly with the CBD, are now included in the (BHBR) Highlands Playing Area.
