About the Club

Mersea Island Bowling Club plays on a natural grass green at 50 Yorick Road in West Mersea. It welcomes bowlers and social members, including newcomers who would like to try the game before joining. Free trial lessons are available, and the club can lend equipment and arrange support from a qualified coach. Its purpose-built clubhouse has a dining and social area for events of more than 40 people, a licensed private members' bar and a south-facing veranda overlooking the grounds. Families and non-playing visitors can enjoy the club's social atmosphere; contact Mick Darby for information.
