Club Information

Wednesday 29th August 1945 several community Bowling & Croquet Enthusiasts held a Meeting at the Road Board Office to see if a Bowling & Croquet Club could be formed, a motion was moved that the Club be formed & the Inaugural General Meeting of the Mount Barker Bowls & Croquet Club was held on Wednesday 19th September 1945.

Two name changers have incured since then to our present name Mount Barker Bowls & Sporting Club.

We pride ourselves on warmly welcoming established bowlers, those new to the sport, those who would like to try lawn bowls for the first time, and all visitors to the area. So whether you live in the area or just visiting please just drop in and have a good look around our Club. Every Friday is a ‘members evening’ at the Club but visitors to Barker are very welcome to join us.

We have two synthetic greens and on Summer Saturdays we play Ladies and Mens pennants in the Lower Great Southern competition.

We host Carnivals and Community Bowls events at various times during the year, and have regular ‘scrounger’ competitions midweek throughout the year and on Sundays through Winter.

So if you want to play bowls or are perhaps just interested in a social drink etc in our clubhouse then we would love to see you here.
