About the Club

Shirley Park Bowls Club opened in 1928 and moved to its present grounds behind Mapledale Avenue in 1963. Its six-rink grass green hosts friendly matches, leagues, internal competitions and social bowling from late April to September. Beginners can arrange a free introductory session, with bowls provided and informal coaching available. Members also enjoy a Friday club night during the outdoor season. The clubhouse has a licensed bar, and the club offers winter activities including short mat bowls, cribbage, darts, bingo and quiz nights. Free parking is available on site. Contact the secretary to arrange a visit or ask about playing and social membership.
