About the Club

Founded in 1932, South Petherton Bowling Club plays on one six-rink outdoor lawn at the village recreation ground off Lightgate Lane. Members take part in leagues, friendly matches, club competitions and social roll-ups, with introductory sessions for new bowlers. Its own clubhouse has a bar and catering facilities for visiting teams and hosts short-mat bowls during winter; the short mat is not a second full-size green.
