Urangan Bowls Club

Urangan Bowls Club Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation and as such we rely on support  from our members, the local community and local businesses.

We are committed to meeting the needs of our members and guests, and our primary purpose is to provide the facilities and infrastructure for the playing and enjoyment of the sport of  Lawn Bowls in a friendly environment.

The club provides 2 covered artificial greens with programs running both day and night games under most weather conditions, all year round

New bowlers receive free coaching to get them started and help them with the finer points of bowls.

The club has a Junior Bowls program for children aged 9 to 17.  It is supervised and free with experienced coaches and is suitable for children who want to play just for fun or take up the game competitively.  All accredited coaches must be in possession of a Blue Card which allows them to work with children.   Many of our juniors compete in local junior competitions and some have been selected to play for the District and State.

The Urangan Bowls Club is located at the southern end of Hervey Bay, close to beaches and the botanic gardens.
