Whyte Melville Bowls Club

Northampton Whyte Melville Bowling Club is a friendly inclusive and welcoming club with a mixed gender membership. It was estabished in 1909 and has a unique connection with a past well known sporting novelist - please see our history page.

Our bowling green forms part of Fernie Fields Sports Ground on the north eastern edge of the town near Moulton village and we share facilities in modern function room/changing rooms/bar with Sileby Rangers Football Club. The Sports and Social Club's resident caterer provides a varied menu for our after match meals and social events.

There is easy access to the club from all the major routes around Northampton and plenty of car parking in the sports ground. The bowling green itself is considered to be one of the best faster pace greens in the county. It is situated in a quiet part of the sports ground surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. We have regularly hosted Bowls Northamptonshire events and later stage county competitions.
