Rights and responsibilities

Copyright & Content Policy

How contributors must source content, and how owners can report material they believe is unauthorised.

Effective 1 September 2026

1. User and club content

LawnBowls.com includes club details, reviews, text, logos, photographs, flyers and other material submitted by clubs, members and users. Copyright, trade marks and other rights remain with their respective owners.

2. Contributor responsibility

When you submit content, you confirm that you own it or have permission covering its use on the LawnBowls.com website, mobile app and related promotion. Keep the original file and written permission, licence, invoice or source record. If people are identifiable, obtain any consent needed to publish their image. Do not copy images from search results, social media, another directory or a club website unless you have permission or a licence that allows this use.

The content licence granted to LawnBowls.com is described in our Terms of Use. Contributors remain responsible for their submissions and must cooperate if a rights concern is raised.

3. Reporting suspected infringement

If you believe content on LawnBowls.com infringes your copyright or another intellectual-property right, use the form below. A useful notice identifies:

  • your name, contact details and whether you are the owner or authorised representative;
  • the original work and the basis of your ownership or authority;
  • the exact LawnBowls.com page URL and the specific image or material concerned;
  • where an authorised original can be seen, if available;
  • any relevant registration, licence or supporting evidence; and
  • a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorised, plus confirmation that the information supplied is accurate.

Do not send identity documents or other sensitive information through this form. We will ask securely if further evidence is needed.

4. What happens after a report

We will record and assess the notice, may request more information, and may temporarily restrict or remove the disputed material while it is reviewed. We may contact the contributor or relevant club and share the substance of the claim so they can respond. We may restore, replace, keep restricted or permanently remove material based on the information available. LawnBowls.com does not act as a court and cannot finally determine ownership disputes.

We aim to acknowledge a sufficiently detailed report within seven days. Urgent requests should identify why immediate restriction is necessary. Repeated or serious infringement may result in submission restrictions or account suspension.

5. False or misleading reports

Submit reports honestly. Knowingly false, misleading or abusive reports may harm other users and may themselves have legal consequences. This process does not limit any rights or remedies available to either party.
