Congratulations to Pat and Joanna on their performances at the 2026 World Bowls Indoor Championships at Ocean Grove Bowling Club in Victoria, Australia.
Although they did not advance past section play in singles competition, both delivered strong performances throughout the week against a very talented international field, finishing 3rd in their respective groups finishing only fractions away from advancing.
In Mixed Pairs action, the Canadian duo advanced to the quarterfinals and battled Scotland in a fantastic match before ultimately falling just short in the 3-end tiebreaker. Their determination, resilience, and competitive spirit were evident right through to the final bowl.
Pat and Joanna will next return to Australia in October, once again representing Canada at the World Bowls Champion of Champions.
A tremendous effort by both athletes on the world stage. Well done, Pat and Joanna!

Félicitations à Pat et Joanna pour leurs performances lors des Championnats du monde de bowls en salle 2026, qui se sont déroulés à l’Ocean Grove Bowling Club, dans l’État de Victoria, en Australie.
Bien qu’ils n’aient pas réussi à se qualifier au-delà de la phase de poules en simple, tous deux ont livré d’excellentes performances tout au long de la semaine face à un plateau international de haut niveau, terminant 3e de leur groupe respectif, à quelques points seulement de la qualification.
Dans la catégorie « paires mixtes », le duo canadien s’est qualifié pour les quarts de finale et a livré un match fantastique contre l’Écosse avant de s’incliner de justesse lors du tie-break en trois manches. Leur détermination, leur ténacité et leur esprit de compétition ont été évidents jusqu’à la toute dernière pierre.
Pat et Joanna retourneront ensuite en Australie en octobre pour représenter une nouvelle fois le Canada au World Bowls Champion of Champions.
Une performance remarquable de la part de ces deux athlètes sur la scène internationale. Bravo, Pat et Joanna !
