Day Six delivered a full day of action in the men’s pairs, women’s singles and para men’s and women’s pairs at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Singapore and Canada made historic Commonwealth Games para bowls debuts, while Malaysia returned to the para programme for the first time since Glasgow 2014.

World No.1s Corey Wedlock and Emma Firyana Saroji opened with victories, while legendary Scottish pairing Paul Foster MBE and Alex Marshall MBE made a winning start in pursuit of their fifth Commonwealth title together.

There were also early upsets, with England’s Katherine Rednall defeating reigning women’s singles champion Ellen Fife, while Malta’s Troy Lorimer and Shaun James Parnis edged defending champion Daniel Salmon and Ross Owen of Wales on a tiebreak.

Scotland and Australia lead the way in the para men’s pairs B6–B8, while New Zealand’s Teri Blackbourn and Games debutant Julie O’Connell have taken the early lead in the women’s pairs B6–B8.
