Graeme Rees and Hannah Dawson win Takapuna Celebrity Pairs

Graeme Rees and Hannah Dawson won Takapuna Bowling Club’s Celebrity Pairs tournament, finishing as the only team with four wins in a field of 32, according to Bowls New Zealand. Rees is from Burnside in Canterbury; Dawson belongs to Takapuna and Howick.

Carol Voshaar and Deanne Bronlund took second place with three wins and a draw. Takapuna’s Chris Taylor and Jan Calcott finished third among the three-win teams.

The event also recognised Takapuna life member Graham Dorreen for his work supporting bowls in Japan. World Bowls President Brett O’Riley and Japan international Keiko Kurohara presented him with a commemorative plaque.
