It is the eve of the World Bowls Indoor Championships with the Scottish players raring to go in a bumper and quality field.

Ocean’s Grove is 9 hours ahead of Scotland with play due to start at 8.30am Melbourne time (11.30pm).

In the Mixed Pairs competition Julie and Iain will play together. Sophie will form a partnership with last years mens singles champion, Jack McShane (Australia).

Day one matches for Scotland are as follows (UK time in brackets)-
10.30am (1.30am) – Mixed Pairs: Scotland v Fiji
10.30am (1.30am)- Mixed Pairs: Sophie & Jack McShane v Sweden / Australia
1pm (4am) – Womens Singles: Julie v Rebecca Rixon (Malta)
3pm (6am) – Mens Singles: Iain v Ian Dale (Norfolk Island)
3pm (6am) – Womens Singles: Sophie v Carolyn Whitehead (Isle of Man)
5pm (8am) – Womens Singles: Julie v Laura Buttler (Switzerland)
7pm (10am) – Womens Singles: Sophie v Tayla Bruce (New Zealand)
