Lawn Bowls Royalty visits Cambridge Bowling Club
When Selina Goddard visited our Club recently, she was accompanied by a representative from the New Zealand Olympic Committee. At that time Selina told us she was hoping to be selected in the 12 strong Lawn Bowls team to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games. Now that appointment has been confirmed, we congratulate 31-year-old Selina on her selection. Selina visited as part of an advertising film session for Flex Fitness New Zealand, which has a great gym in Cambridge. Their two super-fit representatives also feature in our photos.
Cambridge Bowling Club Board members, Peter Hand and Margaret Stott, hosted the group, including providing them with a batch of welcome fresh scones – offering our well renowned Cambridge Bowling Club hospitality.
We wish Selina well in her professed endeavour to gain a Gold Medal for New Zealand in July/August. After all, Selina already has consecutive Bronze Medals and now wants the shinier one. Go Selina!
