Malaysia’s national squad finished the inaugural Malaysian Open, the Royal Patron’s Cup, with ten medals: three gold, four silver and three bronze, according to Stadium Astro’s 1 November report.

National head coach Fairul Izwan Abd Muin said most players exceeded their pre-event performance targets, with almost all Podium Programme athletes reaching finals. He said the tournament would help inform planning for the following year, alongside a review of areas needing improvement.

Development-squad coach Megat Mohd Nazim also reported a stronger return than expected: two gold medals and one bronze against an initial target of one gold.

The report, shared by Bowls Malaysia, provides a coaching assessment distinct from the individual podium results.
