Last week, the Bowls Development Alliance was delighted to be part of this incredible event, introducing approximately 1,000 children to the sport of bowls alongside a wide range of other sports and activities.
Tuesday and Wednesday saw us delivering sessions at the sports stadium, where children had the opportunity to develop new skills, take on fun challenges and experience bowls for the first time. Despite the weather forcing a change of plans on Thursday, we adapted our activities and successfully delivered sessions indoors in a much smaller space, ensuring the children still had a positive and enjoyable experience.
A huge thank you to Inspire+ for organising such a fantastic event and for their continued commitment to providing young people with opportunities to be active, try new sports and build confidence through physical activity.
We would also like to thank all of the Young Leaders who supported us throughout the event. Their enthusiasm, energy and willingness to help made a real difference and contributed greatly to the success of our sessions.
It was wonderful to see so many children giving bowls a go, having fun and developing new skills. We hope we’ve inspired some future bowlers along the way!
