The 2027 World Bowls Indoor Championship is heading to Hartlepool, England.

Hartlepool and District Indoor Bowling Club has been confirmed as the host venue for the six-day international championship from 10–15 May 2027.

The Platinum World Bowls Series event will bring together leading indoor bowlers from around the world to compete for the men’s singles, women’s singles and mixed pairs titles.

It will be a return to familiar territory for the Championship, with Hartlepool having previously staged the event in 2018.

Reigning champions Alison Merrien MBE and Iain McLean will be invited to defend their singles titles, with Merrien having the opportunity to claim a record-breaking sixth title.
