Three generations, one passion, one unforgettable journey on the greens. 💚🎳

At 76 years young, Hennie Heyns introduced his son, Quinton Heyns, to the beautiful game of bowls just before the last Nationals. Little did he know that the love for the sport would quickly grow into something truly special.

Now, only a year later, three generations of the Heyns family are proudly participating together in the Fours over the last two days — grandfather Hennie, son Quinton, and 13-year-old grandson Rourke.

What makes this story even more heartwarming is the genuine passion Quinton and young Rourke have developed for the game. From shared practice sessions to treasured moments on the green, bowls has become more than a sport for the Heyns family — it has become a legacy.

Moments like these remind us that bowls is not only about competition, but also about family, friendship, and creating memories across generations.

Wishing the Heyns family many more happy years on the greens together! 💛💚

They currently playing in the Mens Open all the way from the Howick Club.
