Manage this club?Founded in 1913, Appleby Bowling Club is based beside the River Eden at The Sands in Appleby-in-Westmorland. Outdoor bowls runs through the summer, with short mat bowling in the club bower during the winter. The club offers free summer taster sessions, provides bowls for newcomers and makes coaching available. Casual afternoon play and internal competitions give members opportunities to enjoy the game, while teams compete in the Eden Valley leagues and shield. Contact honorary secretary Peter Metcalfe to arrange a visit and confirm current membership, taster sessions and playing times.
