Collingwood Bowling Club

Collingwood Bowling Club is a community lawn bowls club at Heaton Terrace in North Shields. A registered charity and recipient of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2019, it welcomes players of different ages and abilities, from complete beginners to experienced county bowlers. Members can enjoy friendly games, league bowls and internal club competitions. Saturday morning coaching introduces newcomers to the sport, with equipment supplied and flat-soled shoes or trainers needed. Tea, coffee and a friendly chat add to the social side of a visit. The club took over the former Heaton Terrace bowling park in 2014/15 and has continued to bring new players into the game. Contact the club to confirm current coaching sessions and membership arrangements.
