About the Club

Haywards Heath and Beech Hurst Bowls Club was formed in 1977 when two local clubs merged. It plays in Beech Hurst Gardens, beside the miniature railway, with roots reaching back to Haywards Heath Bowls Club in 1905. The club welcomes new and experienced bowlers for friendly matches, local leagues, club competitions and touring fixtures. Qualified coaches help beginners and players wishing to improve. The outdoor grass season runs from late April to September, while short mat bowling continues in the clubhouse during winter; an adjacent all-weather practice surface is also available. The clubhouse has a bar, kitchen, dining area and changing facilities. Contact the secretary about membership or a visit, and follow the club's published parking directions and restrictions.
