Hylton Colliery Welfare Bowls Club

Hylton Colliery Welfare Bowls Club plays outdoor lawn bowls at the Billy Hardy Sports Complex in Castletown, Sunderland. Alongside local league matches, members take part in club competitions, including pairs and veterans events. Its public updates celebrate competition winners, visiting teams and the social side of the summer playing season. The grass green sits within a wider community sports site, near the cricket and football grounds. Contact the club for current membership enquiries, visiting arrangements and opportunities to play, and confirm session times and green availability before travelling, especially outside the outdoor season.
