About the Club

Isle of Thorns and District Bowls Club is based in a quiet Ashdown Forest setting at Chelwood Gate, off the A275 Lewes Road. The mixed club welcomes beginners and experienced bowlers, with Monday afternoon sessions offering a way to meet members and try the game. Club bowls are available to borrow when getting started. The programme includes mixed friendly matches, local leagues, county competitions and social roll-ups. A clubhouse and terrace overlook the outdoor green, with free parking available nearby.
