Margaret Catchpole Bowls Club

Margaret Catchpole Bowls Club plays on the Old Rose Garden green off Cliff Lane in Ipswich. Formed in November 1948, the club began bowling on the completed green in 1950. It welcomes new bowlers and runs Saturday afternoon social roll-ups for members, guests and people trying the game. Beginners receive tuition and can borrow bowls, with flat-soled shoes required. The club also plays competitively and holds social events through winter. Its clubhouse was extended in 2022 and includes a kitchen, with space available for small meetings and social gatherings.
