About the Club

Mytchett Bowls Club was founded in November 1931 at Hamesmoor Road Recreation Ground. Originally called Coleford Bowling Club, it adopted the Mytchett name in 1965. The club plays on a six-rink outdoor grass green and welcomes beginners, experienced players, individuals, couples and families. Members take part in competitive and friendly fixtures, with qualified coaching available for new and developing bowlers. Introductory sessions can include the loan of equipment, subject to availability. The clubhouse supports club activities and social events continue in winter. Free parking is available at the recreation ground, and enquiries about trying bowls can be made through Martin.
