About the Club

Newhaven Bowling Club was founded in 1902 and plays on a six-rink green at Fort Road Recreation Ground beside the harbour. The club welcomes new and experienced bowlers, with nationally qualified coaching and bowls provided for introductory sessions. Members enjoy friendly and competitive fixtures, club activities and social events. The club also runs winter short mat bowls. Touring teams are welcome to enquire about arranging a visit. The clubhouse is licensed, and street parking is available nearby, although spaces can be busy on match days. The club warns that its displayed postcode is inaccurate and the venue cannot receive mail; follow its Fort Road directions or contact the club before visiting.
