About the Club

Pelton Fell War Memorial Park Bowling Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities to its outdoor grass green near Chester-le-Street. The playing season runs from April to October, with local leagues, club knock-out competitions and open events for members and visitors. Beginners can receive free instruction from a qualified coach, and equipment is provided. Carpet bowls is played in the pavilion during winter. The club uses the privately managed park by agreement with its trustees, and its pavilion is available for private functions. Access the car park from the narrow lane north of the park, and contact the secretary to arrange a visit.
