Thornton-le-Dale Short Mat Bowls Club

Thornton-le-Dale Short Mat Bowls Club plays indoors at the village hall on Pickering Road. The club offers social bowling and competitive play, with Thursday morning sessions and teams in local short-mat leagues. Its Ryedale League teams include Emeralds and Sapphires, while Jets and Sharks play in the Dales League. The indoor club has its own membership and constitution and is affiliated to the English and North Yorkshire short-mat bowls associations. Contact the secretary through the club website to ask about joining, trying the game or checking current session arrangements before visiting the hall.
