Thurgoland Bowling Club

Thurgoland Bowling Club plays crown green bowls beside the welfare hall on Roper Lane in the centre of Thurgoland village. The club welcomes players of different ages and abilities, from juniors and newcomers to experienced competitive bowlers. Members take part in local league matches and social bowling, with teams competing in the Barnsley, Dearne and Don, and Sheffield Parks districts. Volunteers maintain the outdoor green and support the club's day-to-day activities. The club has qualified coaches and a welfare officer, and spectators are welcome to watch matches and enjoy refreshments. Visit its bowling page to find out more about membership and current playing arrangements.
