About the Club

Wanstead Central Bowls Club plays on Nutter Lane in Wanstead and celebrated its centenary in 2026. It offers social and competitive bowling on a six-rink grass green, with club matches and events involving teams from the wider area. New players of all ages and abilities are welcome. The club provides bowls and free coaching from qualified male and female coaches; visitors should wear flat shoes and comfortable clothing. Saturday morning sessions provide an opportunity to try the game, with other arrangements available by contacting Ken. Members also gather in the club lounge for refreshments and social occasions.
