Bowls South Africa approves KSR Laser Measure with usage restrictions

Bowls South Africa has approved the KSR Laser Measure for use in South Africa as an alternative to the box measure, subject to Circular 100/2026.

The circular permits players to use it during tabs-in games, club competitions and district competitions. It does not permit a marker to use it when marking a singles game; the circular specifies a string measure, such as a box or bullet measure, for that role.

The device does not form part of the listed umpire’s kit. The approval is not a commercial endorsement or a guarantee of the manufacturer’s accuracy or ease-of-use claims.
