Families have always been part of the fabric of bowls….

Families have always been part of the fabric of bowls.

Across the Commonwealth, the sport is passed from one generation to the next, creating opportunities for families to share experiences that few other sports can offer.

At Glasgow 2026, that story continues with siblings Milika and Chad Nathan, who will proudly represent Tonga together at their first Commonwealth Games. Their journey is a reminder that the Games are not only about medals, but also about community, heritage and the pride of representing your nation alongside those closest to you.

It’s these stories, from nations and territories of every size, that make the Commonwealth Games such a unique celebration of our sport.

Thank you to Bowls International for sharing Milika and Chad’s story, read more here: https://bowlsinternational.com/siblings-represent-tonga/
