Iain McLean takes World No. 1 spot as WBS Finals rankings close

Scotland’s Iain McLean has moved to the top of the men’s World Bowls Series rankings with 1,022 points, while Malaysia’s Emma Firyana Saroji remains women’s No. 1.
World Bowls says the final qualification update includes results from eight events. McLean’s season has included World Bowls Indoor Championships and Champion of Champions titles. New Zealand’s Mandy Boyd has moved into the women’s top 10 in ninth place with 640 points.
The top 10 men and women receive invitations to the Series Finals, with two wildcard places in each field. Invitations can pass down the rankings if players decline, so the full 24-player lineup is still to be confirmed by 9 November.
The Finals take place from 2-4 December 2026 at Stadium Juara, Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur.
