Ireland opens Hong Kong Classic singles campaign on 7 November

Ireland’s four players begin their Hong Kong Classic singles campaigns on Saturday 7 November, with each facing local opposition in the opening round, the Irish Bowls Federation reports.
Megan Devlin, Lara Reaney and Stephen Kirkwood return for their second appearances, while Shane Leonard makes his tournament debut. Neil Booth MBE is part of the management team.
The federation explains that singles rounds one and two use two sets of seven ends, with a three-end tie-break if needed. From round three, the sets increase to nine ends, retaining the three-end tie-break. Pairs competition starts on Monday 9 November.
